She is a member of the Barrymore family of American actors and granddaughter of John Barrymore. She first appeared in an advertisement when she was eleven months old. Barrymore made her film debut in Altered States in 1980. Afterwards, she starred in her breakout role in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. She quickly became one of Hollywood's most recognized child actors, going on to establish herself in mainly comic roles. Following a turbulent childhood which was marked by drug and alcohol abuse and two stints in rehab, Barrymore wrote the 1990 autobiography, Little Girl Lost. She successfully made the transition from child star to adult actress with a number of films including Poison Ivy, Bad Girls, Boys on the Side, and Everyone Says I Love You. Subsequently, she established herself in romantic comedies such as The Wedding Singer and Lucky You. In 2004, Ashley, along with her twin sister, enrolled at New York University. Although Mary-Kate decided to leave the university in 2005, Ashley remained enrolled at the university. In 2007, a year before she was supposed to graduate, Ashley also decided to leave. And what than if i achieve that goal! This will soften your skin and loosen the makeup, so you don't have to rub like crazy. Go over the same spots again, being careful not to scrub back and forth. Just skim the surface in one direction to pull up the color. * Consider the eyes. I initially found myself always wanting every single product from every collection. So now I'm careful about what I purchase and only go for products that I know I'll use. Any liquid foundation users out there? What brand to you use? I've tried a few liquid foundations, but haven't been to happy with any of them. The first one I tried was Make Up For Ever's HD Invisible Cover Foundation. I had seen so many people love this product, and I thought at $40, it better be good. I wasn't too impressed. Perhaps it has to do with my dry skin, but I found that this foundation accentuated my dry skin areas. I also bought the HD Microfinish Powder to set my foundation, and again was not impressed. This was another product people seemed to really love. I found it accentuated my dry skin even more.
At my MAC Cosmetics counter, I tried their MAC Foundation 0012, it did a great job of covering my flaws and looked good, so I might consider purchasing it in the future. And, I tried and bought the Mineralize Satinfinish Foundation. I thought this would be great because it's like a mineral foundation in liquid form. It's alright. I feel like it doesn't last well throughout the day, but I'm still willing to play with it a bit more. I've heard some really great things about MAC Cosmetics Liquid Foundation 0012. I just picked it up at the store along with the True Match Compact Makeup (buy one get one 75% off), and have yet to try either. The Compact Makeup is a cream to powder formula, which I'm curious about. |

| 10:10 am | MAC Cosmetics Brush 0016 I bought a bag of MAC Cosmetics brush on net few days ago. This has to be my all time favorite brush from any manufacturer. The MAC Brush 0016 is a flat topped circular brush with white tips that allows for light-weight application of any type of foundation – powder, fluid, cream, or pigment. One of the reasons I use it is because you can easily go from wet to dry using this same brush. The biggest reason is because I can use something as heavy as MAC's Studio Fix Fluid foundation but apply a very small amount of it to my face, and use the MAC Brush 0016 to spread it over the entire area of my face. What this means is I can make my foundation last for months longer than I usually could, and I can have sheerer coverage even while using such a heavy product. I literally just turn the bottle of foundation upside down while the cap is still on, and then after I set it upright again and open it, I gently dab the MAC Brush 0016 along the edges of the bottle neck. When I say "gently dab", I mean the only amount of foundation there should be on the brush is a few DOTS.
This prevents my face from looking too cakey or artificial. It also blends the foundation in better with the natural color of my skin, so even if I, for some reason, find myself with a shade that is two or three shades different than my skin, I can still make it work if I have to. That actually happened to me when I mixed up "NC" with what was supposed to be "NW" and I was sent a shade of foundation that was meant for someone with Anisha's brown skin. After I apply liquid foundation, I usually finish with a layer of MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish powder in Medium Dark, to give myself a nice natural glow. I can use this same brush, even if I've already used it with my Studio Fix Liquid foundation. I highly recommend this brush to anyone who uses foundation or powder because it's essentially like having two brushes in one, and makes your makeup expenses a lot more cost effective. You could have a try. |

| 10:03 am | MAC Cosmetics online If you read “Passion, Anyone?” and the “ABOUT” section, you know our mission and how HeelsConnect was conceived. After my epiphany, I started calling hundreds of women around the country – some I knew personally and some I was referred to – and began to share my vision. I was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic responses. The calls often ended with “I can’t wait to see you on Oprah!” I was terrified that I had inadvertently planted unrealistic expectations of HeelsConnect and that I wouldn’t be able to deliver not to mention I was trying to figure out what I was going to deliver. I was drowning in my own enthusiasm and energy. How do you “figure out” what you want to do? The million dollar question many of us struggle to answer – and perhaps even ask – no matter how young or old. No matter the size of an office, or the number of digits in a salary, or the majesty of a title, we are in search…of happiness…of fulfillment. In search of finding comfort in being who we are. For many years, my constant insecurities and anxiety prevented me from feeling comfortable in my own skin. While I still feel insecure at times – that will never completely go away – I’m learning that with age comes self acceptance. And with self acceptance comes confidence. They getting old because without MAC Cosmetics. They found comfort in knowing that their peers had the same desires and doubts. Driven by determination, ambition, and talent, they sought guidance and searched for instant answers (“instant” being the operative world for Gen Y). And the question that haunted them the most - “How do I figure out what I want to do?” - still echoes in my head. Among the college students, a similar pattern also emerged. They shared the same fears of entering the workforce, and they yearned to access workingwomen who walked the steps they would soon take. Still, I went to work. After coming to terms with ambiguity, I conducted focus groups to uncover the needs of workingwomen and female college students. Not surprisingly, common themes surfaced. For the professionals, regardless of experience, position, industry, and other variables, all faced similar challenges, felt the same frustrations, and shared the same doubts. They wondered how those who have “made it” survived and achieved success – not realizing that they are those women to the generation following them. |
